But that's gotta save some water, right?
KarenKarenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12959344182021036863noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21026266092940784.post-70781162822073885802007-04-25T12:00:00.000-05:002007-04-25T12:00:00.000-05:00Kudos! It's enough to motivate folks into doing some of these just to save money.

And as for the bags at the grocery store, you can always use whatever you already have at home. I have a huge beach bag that I'm going to take next time, as well as re-using some of the plastic ones we have lying around.Daniellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00467969521918613052noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21026266092940784.post-63612651493598009562007-04-25T10:59:00.000-05:002007-04-25T10:59:00.000-05:00Oooh! The grocery store sells the canvas bags, but I haven't boughg one.

3. We do not eat meet every day of the week. In fact, we don't eat meat probably half the week.

4. This one is trickier. Many of our appliances ARE in power strips we turn off when not in use. But we are currently fighting over the baby monitor plug, which Jason unplugs every morning, and then forgets to plug in before he puts the baby down-- and then I have to fumble through the dark and figure out how to plug it back in and so I want him to just leave the darn thing plugged in every once in a while. . . but in my defense, I have insisted that we turn OFF the computer before bed. . .

5. Yeah. We recycle. And we don't get a paper, either. We just read the news online.

6. All our clothes are handed down or given away. And most of Marcie's clothes are hand-me-downs, too.

6. (you have two sixes). We walk to the local Target, the grocery store, the Starbucks-- any time we're home and need just a few things that we can carry. It's sort of our Sunday-morning tradition.

7. I am fast, fast, fast in the shower.

8. And we have kids, so we don't keep the heat up.

9. We actually switched from buying bottled water to the gallon jugs and buying the 3-gallons of water at once . . . so this forces us to use reusable drinking cups.

10. Well, I sure wouldn't consider us an example. But with ther ridiculous cost of gas and electricity here in So. Cal, being friendly to our environment is becoming increasingly synonymous with being friendly to our wallets.

Hey, any line on when they're coming out with the hybrid mini-van. We've avoided anything large up till now, but it'll become a necessity (of sorts) soon, and we'd like to get on waiting list. . .

Thanks for all the great information!

Karen in San Diego
http://bsinchina.blogspot.comKarenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12959344182021036863noreply@blogger.com
